Silent Storytellers

Dear Friends,
As I looked back over my past drawings this year I studied the silent eyes that are looking back at me. The drawings that capture my attention are the ones that say, “look at me I have something to say.” The goal of every drawing is to capture the soul of the sitter. William Shakespeare said “Eyes are the window to the soul.” In this new year I am hoping that my creative journey will take me deeper into the emotion of the sitter by focusing on the eyes. When looking into someones eyes, look for the sparkle, the catchlight that says, I am alive!”
